About the Author:
Imam Jalaluddin Suyuti was born on October 1445, AD, in the ancient Egyptian city of Suyuti. He got his early education in his hometown. At the age of eight, he had memorized the Qur’an. He read books on jurisprudence and grammar from a group of teachers. In the year 871 AH, he specialized in the teaching of Hadith and started writing fatwas.
Imam Jalaluddin Suyuti is one of the most famous senior scholars. He was skilled in seven Islamic sciences. The writer has written many Tafseer on the Qur’an. He has also done extensive research in the field of history and hadith. Scholars of all Sunni schools of thought are convinced of his intellectual status. His books are included in the syllabus of the teaching system of madrassas. He used to say that Allah has given me expertise in seven sciences.

He was a memorizer of hadith and he memorized more than two lakh hadiths orally. Hazrat Sheikh Shazli used to say that Imam Jalal-ud-Din Suyuti was asked how many times he had seen the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.). He said, “I have seen the Prophet Muhammad more than seventy times in my waking state. “Imam Jalaluddin Suyuti wrote more than five hundred books. All his books were of very high quality. Most of his books are included in the syllabus of Islamic studies institutes and universities.
Imam Jalaluddin was of Arabic genius and his mother tongue was Arabic. Therefore, his Arabic prose is of a very high standard. Imam Jalaluddin Suyuti was very selfless. They did not covet worldly things at all. Many of his devotees, and disciples, used to come to him to give him presents but he refused to accept them. This great scholar of the Islamic world passed away at the age of 61 years and 10 months in the year 1505 AD.
