Some of the survivors of this tragic tragedy went back to the court of the governor of Iraq, Hajjaj bin Yusuf, to plead for justice. Hajjaj bin Yusuf sent a messenger and demanded Raja Dahir of Debal Sindh arrest the robbers and punish them.

Raja Dahir flatly refused to take any action against these robbers and sent the messenger back disappointed. Hajjaj bin Yusuf got angry and sent his nephew and son-in-law Muhammad bin Qasim to attack Sindh.

At the age of only seventeen, Muhammad bin Qasim conquered Sindh and laid the foundations of a magnificent government in Sindh. After conquering Sindh, Muhammad bin Qasim issued orders to abolish the caste system there. He adhered to the principle of equality in Islam and treated people equally.

He introduced the wonderful judicial system of Islam where justice was provided free of cost to people of all religions without discrimination.

Muhammad bin Qasim emphasized the rule of law and treated the weak and the powerful equally. Influenced by Muhammad Bin Qasim’s kindness and justice, many people left Hinduism and accepted Islam. No one was forced to leave their religion by the government; people were accepting Islam of their own free will.
