Raakh / راکھ by Mustansar Hussain Tararis an important story in Urdu novel classical literature. The author of the novel is Mustansar Hussain Tarar, who is a well-known Urdu novelist and travel writer. This book is one of the famous and best Urdu novels of Mustansar Hussain Tarar.

This novel is written in the background of the tragedy of the separation of East Pakistan.  Sangmail Publications published this novel in 2003. It is one of Mustansar’s most popular novels.

Summary of Raakh Novel:

 In the story of this novel, the reasons for the separation of East Pakistan and their negative effects are discussed. As well as the reasons behind the partition of Pakistan into two parts, many secrets have been revealed about the perpetrators of this tragedy. As the country was divided into two parts, many families were separated from each other. Many families became destitute due to military operations and riots.

Mustansar has depicted all these problems in the story of the novel. Mustanasir Hussain Tarar has a great position among contemporary Urdu novelists. He is the author of several books of Urdu novels.

Apart from this, he is also the author of several travel books. Among these books, Strangers in Andalusia, Nikle Teri Talash’s main, is notable. Apart from this, he has added many good books to Urdu literature. Which include Khashak, and flow.

Apart from being a novelist, and travel writer, he is also an excellent teacher and bureaucrat. He worked as a host on Pakistan Television for a long time.

About the Author:

Mustansar Hussain Tarar was born on 01 st March 1939 in the Gujrat District of Pakistan. He got his early education from Muslim Model School Lower Mall Lahore District. After he went to Lahore for higher education and got admission to Govt College University Lahore.

From Govt College University, he got a degree of Master in Urdu Language and literature. He is well known, Novel writer, Screenwriter, actor, and TV host. He served as a TV host and screenwriter on Pakistan Television for many years.
