Naseem Hijazi has written this historical novel against the backdrop of the glorious past of Muslims in Islamic Spain.

Story/Summary of the Novel:

The Muslims under the leadership of Tariq bin Ziyad won a great victory in the war and founded the Muslim-era government in Spain. This regime lasted for a long time and the Muslims introduced themselves as a role model for other Islamic countries by establishing a magnificent regime in Europe.

Tariq’s successors initially strengthened the government by introducing drastic administrative and political reforms. He further strengthened the organization of the army so that the enemy countries would be terrorized. Unfortunately, the rulers who came after him could not maintain this continuity of success and this Islamic state began to decline.

Rebellions started in most provinces of the state. Governors of many provinces declared independence. Conditions were very troubling for the Muslims of Spain. The rulers of the nearby Islamic states were not interested in this terrible situation. Instead of supporting this Islamic state, they engaged in wars among themselves.

After the establishment of Pakistan, his family migrated and settled in Lahore, Pakistan. He decided to write historical novels for novel writing. He has written many historical novels for Urdu literature. Among them are Muhammad bin Qasim, Yusuf bin Tashfeen, and or Talwar Toot gai.
